nice looking truck, but "rock warrior" is a misnomer...pure marketing scam

 

kinda like the mountain edition on the new tacos... if it had a SA then it could be considered rock warrior.. or some kind of lift...
but it is still quite sexy

 

Lol rock warrior.....there isn't one person in America rich enough to pay $60k for a truck then beat it to death in the rocks.

I looked at a "Rock Warrior" Tundra in the Toyota exhibit at Bristol speedway, nowhere near as cool and impressive as the "Raptor" F-150 in the Ford exhibit.

Toyota is losing its off-road coolness with their newer truck lines, after the FJC gets canceled they will look very GM-ish if they don't re-examine what got them to the top in the first place.

 

5 lugs nuts is always a good selling point too...implies cost cutting....'Mall Warrior' more likely

 

Not doing too bad, I am firmly planted in 2nd with only one race to go!

36K is still a lot to be taking a truck offroad heh. About the only "rocks" that thing will see is some gravel in the parking lot lol.

 

Since when do we see a lot of Tundras off road anyway? It's more of less the same marketing that gave the us the T3 Tundra..

 

I guess the A/T's and simulated beadlockish wheels make it a "Rock Warrior"

 

I wondered the same thing so I asked a reputable dealer.
They started using the old Land Cruiser bolt pattern. The lug bolts are thicker and in theory the 5 bigger bolts are strong than 6 smaller ones.

 

I'm holding out for the Ultimate Warrior edition

 

I wonder is the TRD decals add 30HP?

 

That Raptor looks pretty awesome I must say.

 

i read somewhere that they decided not to kill the fj, they actually made a few changes to it
