My driver's (only) door lock won't commit to one position or another with the power door lock button. It seems to get hung up in the middle. I've tried "exercising" it manually to clean it out. No effect. The "action" feels normal when I switch it manually from the inside door "nub" above the handle.
This happend a few months ago and corrected it's self over the course of a couple weeks. Now it's back. Maybe it's the humidity? Is this easy to fix?

93 22re 4wd 145,xxx miles, manual locks, not "power" locks but this still relates....
my driver door lock is sticky. i'm getting two new keys made, condemming one of the keys to the "exercise" key and i'm gonna work the "you know what" out of the lock when i get home, then see how that works out then go from there....

dude at dealership told me to spary WD into the lock....i dunno about that, but thats just me

probably should just take door apart and clean it up all shiny....

 

i wonder if the original poster is still waitin for an answer... pretty funny. anyway, i had the same problem, used WD40, took care of it. use the straw on that comes with on the can and wipe off whatever rolls down outside the door. work the lock with key, and with hand, repeat if necessary.

 

Sold the T100 in '09 with 186,000 miles on it. It was still perfect (other than the sticky door lock and the CEL that came on at every start up-.) The CEL was a code related to a "solenoid E" that was replaced in the tranny , only no one told the ECU because it would always come on at start up. I cleared the code with a code reader on start up and it functioned perfectly otherwise. I don't think the solenoid was even the issue. This all started after a tranny flush service...don't think I'll do one of those again.
Awesome truck for sure.
Got an '04 Tundra DC to replace it and am extremely satisfied/happy with it. Not really "wheeling" it (too long), but definitely gets me through the desert and snow no problemo.
