Loud "pop" with steering wheel cranked in T100.

Hi folks, lately, when I pull into the driveway (in 2WD) with the steering wheel nearly pegged in one direction, I hear a loud mechanical "pop" coming from what sounds like one of the axles. If I don't pull in slowly, it's especially scary sounding.
This happens whether I'm backing out, or pulling in. It seems to only happen if I hit a bump of any kind with the steering wheel turned pretty hard. Any ideas?

steering stops. just dab a little grease on the contact points and it'll go away or you can get new plastic covers but they wear down. I put a dab of grease on mine when i lube the zerks and change the oil. doesn't need to be done that often but just something i do.
