I Need A Lift

I just came home from taking my new tires out for a spin, and they rub. I was afraid this was going to happen.

I need to find a lift kit- fast!! and install it ASAP.

will a body lift do? or do i have to go suspension??

does anyone know of any--- i only know of one, and im not sure a body lift will do.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

i found a 3" body lift from performance accessories, and its $150, sounds like a great deal. Has anyone used this, or know anyone who has... and i need to be sure that a body lift raises the wheel well, im pretty sure it does. like 99% ..... i just need to be 100%

Sloow dooown!
No one knows if you have a 2wd manual T100, or a 4wd automatic T100 xtracab, or whether you just put wide low profile slicks on or 38" Krawlers. List your rig and pertinent info (preferably in your signature) and then you might be able to get specific help. 4crawler has a pretty good reputation on this board and has info on body lifts which may help you.

I don't know a specific answer, but check the 4crawler link I listed above as it gives you info on the "other" stuff you may need for a body lift, also he makes the lift to your exact specific height with the material you want (aluminum, UHMW-PE, etc.). Perf. Parts and Superlift probably use generic pucks which may work but may not be the best/safest thing out there. Just from some reading I think over 2" requires quite a bit more modification to work, hopefully someone w/a body lift on a T100 will pipe in. I used to own a 4wd T100 and 31x10.5x15 (almost identical dimensions) tires worked fine, no rubbing.

Well, mine was a 4wd and I think they have slightly taller springs, so that's probably part of it...

Rubbing constantly, at full turn, or what?

I would suggest going with 4Crawler BL option. Probably the cheapest and the quickest solution if you just go 1"

does not rub constantly... at turns only, but it doesnt even have to be a full turn, just has to hit a slight bump. Im thinking i'll need to go 2 inches if not 3 cause when i hit a hard bump, with a full turn 1 inch might not clear it

The 4wd is spring over in the rear and I think uses heavier torsion bars. The 2wd is sprung under in the rear, and if not using lighter torsion bars has them mounted to match the (lack of) rear height. Steering on the 4wds is also a different system than on the 2wds.

a 2" body kit should require less modification than a 3". Basically the steering and shifter extensions may not be necessary with a 2" (reports go both ways), and chance of overextending a vacuum line is less minus the extra inch.

Superlift and Performance Acc. are both known quantities, as is 4crawler. The big company kits typically come with hardware. I'd buy from 4crawler. The others aren't going to offer you hardware options, and no way do the other two give you this kind of tech about something as ostensibly simple as a body lift.

Whoever you buy from, improper installation is a bigger risk than poor parts (defective ones are always possible; inspect them), and basically that just means everything needs to be stacked in order and tight (though not so tight that you stretch threads on the bolts). I have a friend who wrecked an earlier Toy where the cab slid forward on the body pucks to meet up with the engine. He and one of two passengers made it and are still in rehab two years later. Lotta factors besides the body lift, but it letting go was one of them.

Where Is It Rubbing? Just Get Front Coil Spacers. If Its Rubbing Against The Control Arm.. Then U Need New Set Of Wheels, Or Wheel Spacers.

the rubbing is the wheel wells.... both sides. a little lip in the middle. Plus, the tires are just too big for the wheel well itself- it needs a little lift. At first i thought it might be the shocks cause they are a little worn out, but i've heard most people say that shocks dont really affect the heigth of the car. not sure if thats true or not. Becuase the heigth of my tires are 31.5" roughly, and many people have said that 31" tires fit in theres with no problem.

There are no coils on the T100, it has torsion bar front suspension.
