I got new shocks

Hey all I just got some new bilstien shocks for my T100. What a difference in ride performance and handling. I got them from Performance Products for $300 with shipping to Florida. Not too bad. I would suggest this mod to anyone with a few bucks to spend and want their truck to handle much better.

How is the ride?

I am just about to get new shocks...125k on my T 4x4....

I have to decide among KYB OME replacements, MonoMaxes or Bilstiens....I definitely want good handling (I was happy with the new stock handling, but a bit better would be good), but I want a good ride also.

How is the ride with your new shocks compared with the OME?

Thanks!

Love my KYB Monomax's....got 2 on eBay, and the other 2 online, $~160 total, as compared to the $94 apiece I was quoted locally. Had KYB's on my old Supra too...

They are pretty stiff, with the stock ones (125K) it would float on the freeway, and the first time we rode on it after the install, I could feel every bump.

Either I'm used to them now, or they calmed down a bit.

Me too,my Bilsteins just showed up from shox.com and I got 'em shipped for $282 and should be on next week. I can't wait since my rears are blown and the ride sucks.

The ride is much better and handling is great. I would recomend bilstiens over KYBs because Bilstiens are variable rate. Not just one REALLY stiff vavling setting. Also bilstiens have differents rates for compression and rebound. I don't know if KYBs have this. Price shouldnt be too much different, so it comes down to which colors more: yellow and blue or white and red

I went with the yellow and blue, and could not be happier.

The Bils were about $15 more each but worth it;KYBs are ok but they definetly are a budget shock.

Well, got the Monomaxes on this morning and put about 60 or 70 miles on them. The T100 handles great. Very much improved. They are stiffer than stock and certainly stiffer than my old shocks with 125k miles on them. Thus, they do make certain road surfaces more known than before...although this is not overbearing or unacceptable. The benefits outweigh the detriments. They do have variable staging and a larger shaft than the Bils...supposedly!
