I have finaly convinced my GF to get rid of her freelander. SO we are looking at a new SUV for her, so far for me it is between 05 sequoia, 05 4R, 05 GX470 or maybe 05 LC100 (or even 97 LC80). She prefers the sequoia.

WIll the 4wd sequoia be ok for light off roading since it shares some with the Tundra? anybody taken any of these off road?

(of course my personal recommendation would be the 05 4R, just cus i've love mine on and off road, and because i haven't tried any of the others you listed)

Thanks for the posts so far, I have been reading up on the Sequoia, but can't seem to find anything on it's off road ability yet. Obviously my 4R will be the used for most trips, but it will be usefull to have a full size "tent" for camping.

whats wrong with her LR Freelander?

how is it/was it off road?

 

She liked the styling, but she kept on driving my 4R because she liked the way it drove more

So I want her to get a car that she likes so I can have my 4R back

The Freelander has only been to Pismo on the beach, but since it had low prfile tires it didn't do too well in the sand

So it was mostly for mall cruising, and commute to work, but compared to my 4R it is more noisy and not as powerful. It handles pretty good though, more responsive handling.

 

Why doesnt she get a 4runner?
