heeeeeeelp!!!! wire touching water!!!!

.. just hooked up a pair of hellas.. and i did not tape the exposed wires.. and it was sunny dry today.. tonight.. started pouring.. is it ok for the wires to getwet as long as i dont turn on the switch??? its also hooked up to my parking lights.. so when that goes on.. hen i can use the switch to turn the hellas off/on. so are the wires ok touching the water while lamps are off?

Don't worry about water getting on the wires. It won't short ( I think thats what you are worrying about). They can however corrode. So before you finish all of you wiring make sure eveything it dry and clean.

DC doesn't have the same "toaster in the bathtub" problem that AC has.

Nothing will happen as long as the water is not connecting the two wires... ie. negative to positive.
