Drive Train Concern
Hello folks, new to this fourm I am a new Sequoia owner...traded in my 4runner cause I needed more room for the family. I miss the tightness of the 4runner. I really got used to how it handled and knew what to expect from what i threw at it. It was a 02 SR5 and had the 3.4 V6 and the towing package. I have a quick question about the Sequoias drive train. If anyone has had this problem please holla back. Here goes...after I come to a stop the drive train seems to jump a little, as if someone lightly tapped you from behind. Again this doesn't happen all the time and sometimes it feels harder. I have been able to seperate it from when the compressor cycles, so I think I ruled that out. This is the new i-force v8 and 5 speed auto. Any thoughts folks.

My 2003 with the 4 speed does the same thing. Anybody with any ideas would be great. I know in my camry the same thing (not as pronounced) happens whenthe AC compressor clicks off & on due to the load changes on the engine.

This thing just turned 4k and if the u-joint is at fault then it should be covered. Come to think of it my 4runner did it a little bit. If it is the temperment of the running gear I shouldn't worry then.

Give these two a try. Most likely the first option.

My 01 tundra does it. Grease the nipple on the driveshaft (U-Joint, and the sliding Yoke) I had to put 15-20 pumps with my big graese gun for it to start coming out. It stoped doing it after I greased the driveshaft. The dealer puts just enough grease in it to get you home. I hope this works.
