CEL Again P1055

CEL Again P0155
I had the CEL come on had the code P0155. Relaced the the sensor. The light has come on again with the same error code. I have replaced all 4 sensors within the last 2 years.
All the conections appear to be good.
no wires melted due to heat.
What does the sensor actually control?
What would happen if I just ignor the light?
I'm sure where I bought the sensor they will not replace due to the fact it's a electrical product.
