ABS noise

I just used my new 2004 Tundra on snow and ice and activated the ABS system for the first time. It was quite noisy with clanging-like sounds. In addition, the pulsation I felt through the brake pad was not uniform. Is this normal?

Thanks

You should feel my Subaru's kickback. The ABS pushes back against your foot so hard. I almost broke my seat down in an emergency braking moment once...

No matter what the ABS sounds like or feels like, if it's working you'll slow down. If it isn't, you'll lock all wheels.

Do not pump your brakes. You can damage the ABS system, or lock the tires. Just a word of warning.
