quick question about timing belt replacement. I replaced my timing belt on my ‘07 Sequoia (2uz-fe) everything looked good but I guess I mistimed the belt by one tooth on the crank. Cams are timed to each other, but I need to get this fixed.
(I ran the engine about 100 miles, but no issues and she still purrs, just trying to fix my own mistake. Check engine light kicked on which is why I need something was up, but there is no damage to the engine)
For anyone smarter than myself: how do I fix this?
My idea was just to line the cams up to TDC, pop the belt off, and then rotate the camshaft the one tooth to TDC before reinstalling the belt.
If there is a better way or any advise, I would appreciate it. Just trying not to destroy my engine.
