2nd gen Tundra Hub conversion

I tried searching for this to no avail,

I'm considering converting to manual locking hubs on my 2008 Tundra. but I don't even know if anyone makes a conversion kit, or what would be involved in the swap. Has anybody done this, or know someone who has.

Any info would be great!

Thanks

google it, i doubt it though because all the other kits are made to use the factory hubs from older model trucks. The tundras are 5 lug and have a completely different design than any other older toyota 4wd

I like the strength and reliability of manual locking hubs. Not to mention reducing the wear and tear on the front drive components. I have close to 100,000 miles on the Tundra now, and I am planning on a mild lift and to continue driving it to 200,000. (I'm not acquiring miles near as fast anymore due to the addition of my DD '85 yoter)

The reason you havent found any is because there ARE NOT any conversion kits. Manual hubs just arent what the majority of american market wants. Toyota stopped manual hubs on 4Runners after '89. Tacomas lost manual hubs after '99. No Tundra or sequoia has ever had manual hubs from the factory.

Well, it was worth a shot. I'll put those plans on the shelf along with finding a programmer for the i-force... maybe in due time someone will make something.

youll be fine without the hubs. Honestly theres no reseon to on your truck. If you really want hubs and a reliable beefy setup you might consider a solid axle swap. Dana 44, dana 60. Otherwise leave her be.
