2005 Tundra, Shifter seems loose
I just added a 2005 Tundra SR5 double cab to my Yota collection.
I love the truck but the trans shifter seems a bit loose. It has no gate to the shift. I can slide it from Reverse directly to 2 without having to pull the shift leaver toward me.
Doing a little bit of research it seems the older Tundras had a shifter problem but by all accounts its ended around 2003.
I have searched this forum and cannot find a thing on the Tundra shifter.
Anyone know if this lack of shift gate is normal or is my shifter about to snap? Id rather replace it now before it leaves me high and dry somewhere in the near future.
opinions?

Correction...With the truck running I can slide the shifter directly from park to low without pulling it toward the steering wheel. I can also slide it directly up from low all the way to park without having to pull it towards the wheel.. So basically there is no gate to the PRNDL at all.
