2003 Land Cruiser Supercharger
Hello everybody. I am new to this forum, or to any forum indeed so this will be a new experience for me.
Now to the problem that brings me here... I am looking at options to increase both torque and power on a 2003 4.5L petrol 100-series (It's actually a GCC car). The supercharger seems like the obvious solution, only they seem to be available for 6-cylinder cars up to '97 but not for later models. Does anyone have experience with fitting a supercharger to a later car? Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm actually from Belgium, but the car is a GCC spec, destined to Iraq. The 4.5L in-line 6 is very popular in most Gulf countries, and much cheaper than the V8 which only comes fully loaded.

the only help I can be is there is information on this board about fitting the superchargers to the 3.4 V6 - often requiring additional fuel needs. The 4.7 V8 was the same way. You might be able to find more informations here:

LOL - I saw your post there so you already know about it. Hope you find something. The fact that the superchargers stop at 97 could simply be because of the casting differences in the intakes & there isn't a bolt on application. I know TRD doesn't like putting them on ant VVTI engines. TRD stopped it for the 4.7 V8 when the VVTI was introduced. Does the 4.5 have VVTI?

I know this thread is old but the engine is the same as the 97 and earlier spec 4.5L I6 found in U.S. spec vehicles.
TRD USA still sells the Supercharger for that motor.
Turbo would be much better. Tons of Turbo kits for the 4.5L I6.
