No photos.. But I have seen it and I would say the 40 is about 25% larger.. It is quite a bit more than you would think.. I may be able to get one this weekend if I take my YJ out with our club and there is a 40 on the run..

I would appreciate that if you could
I am having sort of a childish argument with a fellow FE at work who is an anti-toy guy. He says that the FJ is nothing more then a CJ with a toyota name plate on it what a Maroon.

when I see FJs I am sort taken back at the size of them...they are a lot bigger then they look.

Thanks for the picture.

I guess the FJs are not a whole deal larger then the Jeeps? I thought they were like 25% bigger? or is that just a shot that favors the jeep?

I owned a CJ7 at the time I bought my first FJ40, and ahd both together for a while. Outside dimensions are actually very close, but the difference is when you look underneath. The FJ's leaf springs are wider, driveshafts are larger, and frames are heavier. Remember, the FJ's are designed to be used in the Jungles and outback where toughness is a necessity. I'm on my fourth Fj and would never buy a Jeep again.

stop all the fj40 pictures ... they are making me drool on my keyboard!

i was sososo close to buying one of those as my first vehicle, and my dad was going to help me fix it up nicely ... and after he died i still really wanted one, but i knew i'd have trouble negotiating and taking care of it all by myself. but man, i looooove them!

4Wheel parts says that fjs are "rust buckets" and "worthless pieces of crap" ...

yeah, but the guys at 4wp are typically morons that think a fullsize chevy with a 10" lift and thornbirds is cooler than a double locked toyota

Hmmm, Worthless huh?

Here is a pic of me pulling out a Jeep Liberty

Here one of me pulling out the Ford Excursion

Oh yea and one of me pulling out the Wrangler

...worthless. This is all with the stock 30+ year old engine and no lockers!

By the end of the weekend I was feeling bad for my friends getting stuck that I purposly burried mine so the Jeep could have a little humility back.

Pleaes note that *I* didn't say they were worthless. I, for one, think they are sturdy, amazing trucks. (not to mention how good looking!)

I know of one...but It will take too much work and $$ for me and I do not have the space for it. I would if I was not going to move in 16 months.
