Yeah, sorry Calamari,

Initially I didn't include the 100 at the start of this thread which is from 2003. There weren't too many of them set up for wheeling at the time. Now I feel like an idiot because I have had two 100's. In fact I liked the first one (Podvins cut up SUT)well enough that I just bought an '05 after selling the '98 back to him.

I guess I'll get used to eating crow. Would someone please pass me the bird sauce!

Are you saying you owned the UTE??? That thing is too cool! I have it on my rotating background at work. There is a thread right now at ih8mud talking about possible Podvin UTE sightings in CO???

I saw that and responded to it. Alan bought it back from me after he wrecked the Dodge, I guess I had it for nearly 8 months. My problem was not needing to hae two work trucks. My 4Runner is that truck. With the 100 ute, I had to lift my fat dog into the back of it a few times a day, and that became a pain in the butt!

Oh, and IMHO; the 100 is the best all around rig that toyota has ever made.

I own a '76 FJ40 and a 91 4runner (dd) I love both and have a hard time deciding which one to sink money into!

The 69 is out of service for brake issues (4 drums). I'm Looking into adding a power steering kit to the 77. Found a strictly bolton kit from Jtoutfitters for about $900. Wanted to know if any of you 40 owners have done this and how is it working out?
Its quite under powered and even with 31s was strained. Save your$$$$ and do a saginaw.

my new cruiser

I now am the proud owner of an '87 FJ60 with 55963 original miles. No joke. ALL IS NEW. ALL PAPER WORK, I AM THE SECOND OWNER. The truck was titled in 1987 to a guy living in Asheville. He bought it new. There IS NO RUST ANYWHERE. No exageration. I am so excited about this one. Not damaged and redone, but new. NEW NEW. Carpet is spotless. Engine is clean with no leaks. Exhaust fumes have no scent or color. Muffler is still glossy paint is slippery. Woodgrain on the side is pealing a bit, i may have that removed.

What type of things should i do to the engine to make sure ll is well after sitting for such long periods of time?

thanks.
4skin98

AND THE BEST THING MY PAYMENTS ARE $210 LESS THAN THE 4RUNNER WAS.

4SKIN98,

PICS

I would change all the fluids and basic service items like air filter and plugs. Then I'd know the baseline for those items, unless you have receipts showing recent service for those items.

BTW, nice find...

and once more...

Have a 77 FJ40 and a old frame from a 45! Does that count as two?

Is there any way I can add 100 series to the poll? There have been a bunch of 100's added to our YotaTech driveways and when I started this thread I thought we were a few years away from having those numbers on YT.

Guess what, a few years have gone by and now my poll sucks because it's incomplete!

If not, I guess we'll have to live with it, huh?

Sorry to all of you (us) 100 fans out there.
