Congratulation!! You just bought a tank! FZJ is a very capable truck, I have a 4runner too, but I think the 80 is better. I have some trip picture of my truk after being lifted, you can check them out. Let me know if you need more info.

Here are a few others Natal:

www.arctictrucks.is Phone:+354 570 5300
www.fjallasport.is Phone: +354 577 4444 (website is down, but I think I spoke with them a while ago over the telephone)

I've been told they do lifts and flares.

Thanks Doug,

I'll give them a call and see what comes up...those flares and big meats really add character...

I have my 1984 FJ60 before I had the 84 4Runner. I have had two pickups, a 1987 22R and a 1986 22RTE, a FJ40, FJ55 and then the 60 and now the Runner. Out of all of them I think the 60 has been the best all around rig. I love the minis but sometimes their lack of weight causes problems in some of the situations I see.

Currently have a 96 FZJ80, that's my trail rig. ARB front bumper, Warn M12, dual batteries, OME 850 + 1" spacer front/863 rear springs (about 3" lift), Kaymar rear bumper w/ tire carrier. Slee step sliders, slee t-case skid plate, Slee tie rod & drag link, DBA rotors, BFG 295/75's, slee headlight harness & HIR bulbs, custom rear drawers, CO2, M1 throughout... there's more too I'm sure, dang that's where my money went. Spend most my cyber time in 80's land over on ih8mud, but came over here to learn about Runners.

Oh, and the 96 runner LTD that's the DD, until I start building it up and will likely wheel it too

I had a 91 BJ/HJ 70 serieswhile living in Australia that was far and away my FAVORITE truck EVER!!!!!!! 4.2L Turbo-diesel, 5spd ARB's front and rear... man I loved that thing... the whole time leading up to coming home, I was dreaming up ways to sneak it back to the states with me.... Stupid Import criteria... Anyone know of an old 70series Mine truck for sale??? I think the Runner needs a big brother...

The poll only lets you select one model.

I own a 87' FJ60, and a 79' FJ40.

they guys on ih8t mud are pretty cool laid back guys.. my dad is ragtop or ragtop 69 on that forum under the miss lou section or something like that.. ive been ridding with their crew for about a year now.. we went to arkansas in october for a ride.. i drove my truck with my four wheelers on the trailer, while my dad was in front driving his tundra hauling his cruiser, it was a fun adventure.. we pulled up to a gas station and they come passing by honkin at us and well i ended up seeing quite a few full moons..lol..

my dad currently owns a 77 fj40 landcruiser, its painted in the durabak stuff.. the front fenders and hood is painted with the rubber stuff that i believe is tire rubber to make it very rough.. then the rest is painted smooth. the insided it painted like the hood and front fenders with black racing seats.. its been bored and stroked, lower gears of some sort, with a arb air locker for the front.. if anyone is around natchez miss give me a call and we can meet up.. or race..

My cruiser is fitted with a 350 V8 and just recently added a MCC bull bar. Even before adding the bar the 80 appeared to be drooping a bit in the front. Is there anywhere i can get the factory specs on actual clearence, and where is this measured. Is it from the centre of the axle to the bottom of wheel well or between axle and bumpstop.
