my friend's 91 cruiser's check engine light came on the other night. is there a way to figure out what code it is. i know on my brother's car you can turn the ignition off and on 3 times and it will flash witch code is tripping it, is there anything like that for the LC or does she need to take it to autozone or the stealership?

 

most check engine lights come on about every 1500 key starts, most of the time it just has to be reset. my 97 t100 did it and shut its self off after 2 weeks. ive been told the factory does it to get consumers to bring it in. if your vehicle does not have a self diagnostic test, you can buy one for about a $150. good luck.
