Rebuilding the Beast

Hey all Been looking around for a while and decided to put in my two cents.

I have a 86 Toyota 22r Hilux long bed. 2wd and have been thinking of what to do with it. I really know the engine needs to be re-built either going to do it when it stops working or now due to boredom and possibly replace the manual trans as the gears are all over the place. Plus it leaks front and back maybe a seal is out ?

I'm pretty confident as far as car experience goes. I've re-built a few Mercedes and Fords before. I'm really picky and anal as well as how my cars go together. Which is why I do it.

As far as the parts and kits they have out now a days. What are the best options to go with. I know when I have it all apart I'm going to want to paint it too since I've already done body work on it. I know I'm going to have to get everything machined too which I'm familiar with prices on that.

I just want some back up info now as to what I'm going to do. It'd be nice to know how much money I'm looking at for parts as well. Including suspension and rubber gromets maybe motor mounts. As all the old original suspension rubbers have cracked. lol

Anyways here are some pics of what I've done any info is appreciated. Hope yall have a great night !
