New 80 2wd!

Hello my yotatech friends and fellows! I just recently bought this 1980 20r sr5 2wd yota! I will get more pics on Tuesday ! Here is glimpse of its glory!

The bed has no rust at all or anything as I can tell for right now will find out more Tuesday! I bought for a woopin $850!.. I have one question thou it has new radiator put in it the temp gauge goes always hot but I used laser to tell me the temp it was at 118F what could be wrong?

Looks pretty good for $850.
Can you touch the radiator? 118* seems low. How does the coolant look? I would do a thermostat. Cheap and could probably use one anyway. Possibly a bad sender??

I will see tuesday when I get the truck and drive it around see what happens I was just going to get aftermarket gauge for the water temp. I will more pics tuesday for you guys stay tune!

Sick! I miss my 81 I should have never sold it... Watch for a 86-95 ifs front locker and throw it in the rear. Mine had a lock right and it worked great.

Thanks guys ! Also you guys see how its missing front marker right by the headlight would my 83 marker screw into that just fine?

Update !! Getting new tires for the truck I get them installed hopefully next week
They are 30x9.5x15 Hankook Dynapro MT's

Pretty clean for the price well worth it. Have fun with it, I'd also replace that rad cap.

Something atleast with a pressure release as long as you have a recovery bottle.

you could if you swapped to an 8" rear. you'd have to do a spring over conversions on your truck, though.
