1995 2WD sagging rear: new leafs vs ZUK mod etc

I'm new to yotatech, searched a ton for the last week or so. I've found a lot of answers, but still want some advice specific to my truck.

I've got a 1995 Tacoma, 2wd 5-lug extended cab 4-banger, so the rear is spring under. I need new shocks and probably new springs or a fix in the back. I've shopped around, searched all the forums I can, and seen several options.

I'm looking for an inch or two of lift in the back and possibly the front too, and a smoother ride. Money's tight since I'm in school with kids and stuff, same old story. The ZUK mod looks like it gives good results to most guys who try it, while new leaf packs would be ideal but more expensive. Eventually I'd like to put spindles on the front, new leafs and shackles on the back and get new wheels and bigger tires etc.
For now I see a couple options:
1) ZUK mod in the back, and nothing or spacers in the front, new shocks all around, cheapest. Thoughts on the spacers appreciated, would 1 inchers cause trouble? Also, what size coils would work for the back if I don't want to go too high?
2) New leafs in the back, and spacers in front. Same deal, but at least 300$ more for new leafs.
3) New leafs + shackles + fabtech spindle lift. Most expensive, most lift, most awesome.

Also shocks: can't afford the bilsteins, looking at the KYBs. Any other ideas?

So any recommendations? I need to stay as cheap as possible, hopefully 300$ or less, but could go up to 6-700 if I really had to. Looking to go with option 1. I rarely carry more than a couple hundred pounds in the back, mostly DD for school and 2-3 camping trips and 3-4 trips with tools for work a year.

Thanks!

if it was me, i would save up and get new leafs. IMO the zuk mod is a bandaid "fix" to the problem. and (again IMO), seeing coil spring wedged between the axle and frame under a leaf sprung truck makes it look cheap and rigged back together.
now, once those are on you can see how much if any you want to bring the front up. if you do, i would use spindles.
