Well since its 2wd throw a lowering kit in it depending on your budget you could put blocks in it cost effective or splurge for bags or hydros. Since its the 3.0 I would address the common issue with the headgaskets especially if your not sure of the milage rather than have it give you problems down the road

www.lowrangeoffroad.com has alot of oem and aftermarket parts

First things first, ditch the 3.0L and swap in a 3.4L and supercharge that son of a gun. then make it a pre-runner. go onto Hannenman Fiberglass and get the ivan ironman pre runner kit for your bed and hood and fenders then get a pre runner suspension set up from somewhere. google pre-runner suspension kits. but thats a start. you shouldn't waste your money though unless your going to pre-run the truck. dont dump your money in a 2wd rig. save that money and buy a 4wd. you can get a decent set up yota for 3500. which would be about how much your suspension and body would cost.

just save your money man. i was in your shoes when i was 18. im 24 now and i've got a ok rig still. the key is to just be patient and save your money. dont be fooled 1 in probably 10 of us can throw down 10k and build a rig how we want to build it. most of us its taken over a span of 5 years or more to build the rig we want. im not there yet but i will be sometime. just dont get credit card debt!!!!!

you know what i had to show off senior year? a bone stock blue 1985 2wd toyota with 22r and i wasn't saving my money. blew 300 on a exhaust, another 250 on window tinting and a sound system. ya it looked cool but not worth it. i shoulda saved for a 4wd rig. like you i didnt have mommy and daddy buyin everything. i bought everything myself but i should have started young. i had to do things cheap too. still doin things cheap lol. keep that sucker stock for now and just enjoy your buddies rigs and let them get in trouble and break stuff on the trail haha. you just sit back and save your pennies and come 2017 you may have a sick crawler dude.

did you get that truck for free? and no use trying to get that seat reupholstered, its toast. and a junk yard one should be just fine for the seat and your mass air flow meter. not sure what that connector is that your holding

My dad being awsome like tht traded it for a small mobile home it had a blown engine so we traded it for the 4runner one and yea I think ima get another seat and the connector is from the airflow meter that thing was so curroded*? That I had no idea wAt it was but thank god for this site
