That was not a cub. That was atleast a 2-3 year old, probably older, boar. Regulations in OR are you cannot harvest a cub less than 1 year old, or a sow with cubs less than one year old. It was a perfectly legal kill, and the required teeth were sent in to be examined by state fish and game(who would have said something if it wasn't).

Judge all you want. That was a pretty decent bear for around here. Nobody that had a look at it said anything different.

Oh BTW, let's see some pics of bears you've harvested for comparison then.

Just found this-I had posted it on a hunting site years ago. I didn't have a scanner then so I took a picture of a picture with my cell phone camera and uploaded it. This is my dad with a deer he took back when he had his FJ-40 (bought new in 1978). The Remington 1100 he's holding is still in the family, the Cruiser, unfortunately, is not:

how the heck did you chance upon a cougar?

I buy a tag every year but only ever seen one in the wild.

Almost had a bear but couldn't get a shot. Never saw any elk with horns, bummer.

the yota is denied it's trophy shot this year. Gonna hit the river for some salmon next month...

Just posted this on another thread. Not as impressive as a lion, bear or giant hog, but still proud of my dogs. This was the first trip up with my new to me 84 Ex Cab. Two blue grouse.
