Was wondering what your guys opinion on Knives was? In the past ive bought Swiss Army Knives, and other cheapies, which worked okay. I always ended up losing them. But I just got this knife about 3 months ago, and itll be the last knife I ever buy. I had heard good things of Benchmade so I payed the price for it, $140 (Go Military Discount!) Its great, sharpest thing ive ever touched, and they have a lifetime sharpening service, send it in and theyll restore it to factory standards. Its great. What do you all prefer?

Spyderco rescue knives. Not too expensive, and will easliy cut through seatbelts and flesh like butter (hunting) if need be.

I love the axis lock, opens very fast and convenient. Best locking mechanism ever.

I carry a Leatherman super tool. I really like it a lot. Not only do a have two blades one serated the other not but I have pliers,screw drivers, and some other stuff to with me all day.

I carry a kershaw, Ken Onion-speed loaded.

 

Kershaw knifes are sick. A friend of mine has one and it's really shape, and has a smooth action on it. Spring loaded knifes are really cool too.

I think you can get them at walmart or similar stores for like $40-50. But $20 is a steal for a kershaw!

They are custom made to fit the first 2 fingers of your hand after you take a small measurement for them. They offer light weight ones made of titanium or something, but the steel ones are only 1 oz!

They come with a kydex sheath and can be hidden in so many spots on your person or carried behind an ID badge and still be hidden.

 

Hideaway knives are sweet. But I have yet to order one. I guess the woman who designed them was stabbed about a dozen times and survived.

By assisted opening, do you mean a switchblade? I'm pretty sure they're illegal....

 

Not necessarily.

Some knives are spring loaded but not activated by a button, you still use a finger to start opening the blade. Technically, these are not considered switch blades but check your local laws.

Also, in some states it's legal to have automatic knives.

 

Generally speaking is it legal to carry a knife in your vehicle? I keep one in my center consol and it sure is handy to have.
