Seattle area mechanic

My 4runner has developed a crack in the flex plate, Dose any one in the Tacoma, Seattle or Olympia area know a trusted mechanic shop that they've used and had good luck with their repairs.

Thanks for your help guys

Tony

I've used bill's automotive on 69th and 27th across from the post office in UP for stuff that I couldn't do myself. He's pretty cheap and does good work. I am drawing a blank on what the flex plate does... Where is it located?

Thanks Tofer,
I'll give him a call tomorrow, I've always called them a flex plates, it mates the transmission to the motor via the torque converter.

Got the transmission out last night and low and behold there were 5 decent cracks in the flex plate. What a relief to confirm that was the cause of the "engine knock".
