Thanks Chef- Keeping it in the family is my prefered verbage.... Doing stuff like this is fun for me and can't believe I get paid to do it now. I don't have as much of an imagination as other Fab. artists I've seen or have had the chance to witness yet alone work with. I blame my parents for this lacking in my life.. (just trying to keep up with everyone else these days blaming their parents for their short commings)... No but seriously...it's a blast to have an idea and watch it slowly come about in real life.

So, with a little more work today, I'd say I'm passing the harder parts of the suspension and moving on to the accessorizing of the top portion of the cart.

This, is where I was able to get to today...

I didn't do the rear quite like I had envisioned....with the amount of time I spent on the front and the more I kept looking at linking the rear, I realized I'd be spending another 2-3 weeks getting it done.

I figured I'd go with something simple and was able to get this portion done in about and hour and a half. Alot quicker than the front. There's still some adjusting to the entire suspension that needs to be done to line the wheels up but for the most part, a side from the springs, it's complete.

And this is where I finished the day out....

So, I'm surprised I'm not getting any comments on this thing....thought for sure more would have something to say....

Just took a minute to look at what you been up to. As with you I love Fab work, and this is a very cool project. And congrats on the new addition. Keep the pics of this thing coming.

Still have a bit more to do with the top side of the cart...but I have a general direction. I'd like to keep every thing with a low center of gravity to make it more stable. I didn't go as wide as I would've liked on the wheels so I'm gonna have to compromise with the over all height. I'll be running a smaller bottle of shielding gas (60lb) with the potential to go with a 125lb. in the future. Going to add some other features as well, but haven't narrowed them all down. A cup holder is a definite must.

If I recall correctly, the 95's have a different suspension design...at least in the front anyway's. So I'll base my response off the 90' I had. With the 90' I went with OME901's. Now I can't remember if they were considered the "Medium" duty or the "Heavy" duty replacement springs and they shouldn't cost you more than a $100.00 or so. For the 97' I went with OME891's...it should be listed with the pictures I have of the before/ after. The 891's were considered to be the "Medium" duty. They do flex well enough for me with my limiting factor being the sway bar in the rear. The front sway bar is removeded completely. On my 90' I removed both front and rear sway bars and felt it could flex quite a bit more. The OME (Old Man Emu) springs are designed and tested to work with the specific vehicles their listed for. Please keep in mind that they are side specific as well...Side A/B. If you have a question, ARB USA is really quick at returning e-mails--at least the easy one's. I did question through email and had a response the next day...so my experience is positive with them so far. Their's also a ton of information here on the boards...just have to search through a few threads or so....that's the fun of this site.

Haven't made any progress on it with the exception of trying to make the springs. That was a fail in the best way. Just gonna have to find some valve springs and use them for the suspension. Not much else than that... Work has been busy with getting order's out for Christmas. We've been busy enough to bring in another member to our team. He's actually a member here on YT and goes to the same school with me...MikeS...he's been very helpful with getting things done and out on their way shipping for our customers. A great guy and great addition.

I'm thinking we'll get our usual week off with pay the last week of the year, so my intention is to finish both carts and my partial cage then.

Thanks for checking in and have a Merry Christmas every one.

DUDE! ....................hehe... Ok, I wont lie... I got distracted and TOTALLY forgotededed what I was going to say... ... At least I'm honest, right? But, as I was distracted again it came back to me(odd how that happens, right? )

..... I figured you probably make all your own stuff's... being a Fab-Maestro of sorts and all, ... But in case I'm wrong... Who do you like for mounting stuff's on racks, etc. My Con-Ferr is Square tube all around... Portal style... I figured I'd look on here and maybe 4wheelparts and expeditionportal, etc., etc... BUT was curious what a 'fab' dude does/or maybe who you prefer?

Thanks... and if you're not able to on here, for any reason... Don't sweat it, man.. I just was curious..

And I TOO want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, Sir!

UPdate...

Okay so here's a small update... and I hope every one had a great Christmas and a safe new year...
This was the week for me to get to some of my projects at work while still getting a paycheck. Unfortunately, the week didn't go as planned. Helped Mike finish getting his front lite bar, sliders and rear bumper guard done for his new to him Tacoma, helped the Boss's brother in law fix some shoddy welds on critical areas of his 87' Toyota truck and keeping one of the other guys at work busy with production and a little project the boss had him working on as well....(that wasn't a run on sentence was it?)

Any how, the only thing I was able to get accomplished was finishing my 110v welding cart. So aside from some powder coating, which the Boss says our guy should do for free, the welder is done.

Here's some pics.

And one showing how it swivles....

And yes, I did add in a removable drink holder. I got say, I'm rather impressed with how smooth it roll over bumps and rutts.

Comments or criticism is welcome.

Good job. I like the big tires. Much easier than casters and such. I think more things in life need a drink holder.

Thanks Flea--Went with valve springs from a Cheby 5.3L. Found a guy on CL on 12/31/12 around 7:00pm and we met up for the exchange. Funny how that worked out...was searching for a couple of weeks and then BAM! Dude shows up in my search...Anyhow, moved em' a little more in board for a little extra height. The rear might need to be doubled if I go with a bigger bottle as well as making a new axle out of thicker steel...but seriously doubtful that'll happen. It does roll really well..better than I expected.

Now, if I can just find some more time to get the TIG table done up and then start on my damn 4Runner projects.

Thanks for checking in...

2 words for you Mikey....."SCOREBOARD" (we really need the middle finger smiley). Just kidding Mike. It does surprise me how some peoples jealousy shines brighter than others though....

Thanks Chef...and as it was pointed out, it does come with a cup holder.
