ShrimpMan's 1997 4Runner Build-Up Thread

I just wanted to introduce myself and post up a pic of my ride (sorry for the low quality - cell pic). I have been lurking on these forums since I bought my car in late 2006 and am looking forward to start contributing!

It is a 97 4Runner limited and here are the specs/mods:

265/75/16 Nitto TG
Factory E-locker
OME 881/906
Tokico Trekmasters
Red LED Dash
Cupholder mod
Rear diff breather
4" Deckplate
ISR Mod (removed, was causing CEL)
Flat black refinished wheels

Let me know what you think!

I will get some more pics up soon!

drop the stepbars, do the satoshi grill mod.. and check out this website called Underdog Racing Development (urdusa.com) for drivetrain upgrades

I would remove the running boards, but my girlfriend is 5'2" and has a hard time getting into the truck as-is!

Thanks for the reply. Yea I did paint them myself. I removed them, masked the tires, prepped with fine grit sandpaper, primed, and sprayed with flat black krylon. They have been painted for quite some time and are holding up great!

Trying to imitate those soccer moms that haven't washed the brake dust of their wheels since the car was new?

Sadly, there are plenty of scratches already on it

Do you have any recommendations for inexpensive yet decent sliders? I am living on a grad student budget at the moment...
