Nerologic's 3rd Gen 4Runner build-up

So now that i am going to finally do what i wanted to do to my 4runner i might as well do a build up thread.

My truck already has a custom intake, TRD headers and I am running catless. Exterior just FJ wheels and slotted rotors and Hawk race pads (i should have gone with the "street" ones). Thats pretty much how its going to stay exterior wise, i can careless about how the car looks really. Its clean enough with the wheels lol

Performance wise is what i aim for. I just picked up the 3rd gen and a whole spare motor with a hole in the block. My friend is porting out the lower plenum as we speak. The throttle body i am going to send out to get bored to atleast 62mm to match the supercharger or maybe bigger if it is possible and then match the charger to the bigger TB. But i am not sure yet until i send out the TB.

The plenum is going to get ported about 1-2mm all the way around from the top, and tampering out to a solid 2mm+ at the base where it meets the head. I want the plenum to match the supercharger's outlet. The ones on the chargers are about 1-2mm larger then the plenum. Leaving the plenum stock is throwing away power. I want to make power and stay efficient with gas mileage.

Since i have the whole separate motor i was thinking about having my friend also port the heads in the long run, but i cant really find cams and i am not sure how much power that will actually do. And something like that would force me to get custom made headers or something bigger then the TRD's or else the header would slow the head flow down.

Anyways, on with a few pics.

I regret not taking better picture of the plenum before having my friend port it, but i think its too late now. It would be nice to see a before and after.

I also am looking for a rear sway bar, but i cant find many options lol I will also modify the TRD header to tapper up to 3inch and have it 3inch all the way out the straight through muffler, but this is obviously after the supercharger install.

My goal is to get damn near close to 300 on the dyno while maintaining decent gas mileage, but only time will tell that.

Just wanted to share with you guys my build, any input will be appreciated.

Thanks, i just wanted something to compare the ported plenum to.

I just dropped off the TB at the machine shop, going from stock 60mm to 64-65 depending on machinist.

Even at 64mm it will be a big difference, i will have to have my friend port match the supercharger inlet because its only 62mm.

Anyone have a 7th injector kit for sale? lol

Lexus or Supra injectors are a better idea, and a Lexus/Supra MAF wouldn't hurt, either.

Hmm they are bolt in?

Turbo supra injectors correct or the NA ones?

I am going to run a 00+ MAF so i don't think a Sup/Lex one would be different, or??

94+ N/A supra injectors are direct plug and play. I've got them on my runner. Brown top ones to be exact.

Got some base line numbers...

163 and 201.

My dreams of breaking 300 to the wheels are going to need ported heads for sure lol.

Also, i got the TB bored out to 64mm, which is about the same size as the supercharger inlet. If everything goes smooth i will have the blower on with in the next month...
