Got the compressor and the tank mounted today ... putting the tank in the spare tire area is more of a PITA than getting to the upper shock bolts

Viair Onboard Air

Finally finished up my OBA setup completely and I have to say I am 100% satisfied with the way it turned out

I had to make brackets to mount the compressor since the front two bolts were inaccessible

The tank was a PAIN IN THE ASS to mount like this but it is now out of the way and not taking up any cargo space

And as you can see it doesn't really hang down much lower than the cross member and definitely not lower than the bumper

I mounted the gauge (which is easer to read than it looks) and the switch in the cubby hole

For the air connection I wanted that to be as concealed as possible so it wouldnt take up storage space and so it wouldn't get snagged

and finished

I also mounted my NCBBA plate today too

Great work! looks like a lot of work, however, great install-- it's totally preferrable to keep aux. equipment out of the working area of the vehicle. I finished installing wiring for trailer towing last weekend and I have to say this was the easiest retro wiring job I've done in a long time.... nothing like a Toyota!

Thanks guys, Yea it was a bit of work (especially mounting the tank like that was a pain in the ass) but in the end I think it was worth it ... nearly looks like it was a factory option
