1998 4Runner rusty Rocker cut to do sliders?
1998 4Runner rusty Rocker cut to do sliders?
On my 1998 4Runner I noticed that I have a few holes in the rockers.
So my thoughts are to cut out the hole rocker front to back and weld in some tube.
Any thought ?
It is my DD so looks are somewhat important to me.
Plan Jane for now.
Future plans for this one are
2-3” lift
Maybe some ARBs
33” tires
Does anyone have good pics of this being done to a 3 gen 4Runner ?
Thanks

I've personally never seen it done on a 3rd gen 4runner, but my past experience in the Jeep world were members cutting out the rockers and making "boatsides". Basically turning the rocker panel into a slider built in the body.
This is quite a good picture:

Hope that helps.
