I have a white 2001 Taco, do i need the stuff for clearcoat or not clearcoat. Reason i ask is someone said that not all toyota colors have clearcoat?

 

You have clearcoat. ALL modern cars have clearcoat.

 

Thats what I thought, but I just wanted to be sure.

 

I have a 1996 White 4runner and it is NOT clear coated. Its shiny, but its not celar coated... you can check the Vin number for a color .... Toyota whites are not clear coated i believe. As a matter of fact, when i got the bushwackers painted I asked them if they were gonna clear coat the fender flares... they did. But when i asked the painter if i had a clear coat on my car he checked the paint scheme and it doesnt.

 

I found my paint code and did some looking, the supra with super white and the corolla with super white do not have clearcoat, it seems all toyota metallic finishes have a clearcoat but non metallic finishes dont.

 

My truck is black and I was not sure what Zainos to get either. There was a thread started a while back about this very topic. I think the fellas here said white, black and maybe some other colors is not clearcoated on Toyotas. I got the stuff for paint without clearcoat. It has worked well so far.
