Yes, another OME 891 spring question (yes I searched)

Hi ya'll,

I just got my OME 891s
and well, I did see the warning stating that you put the LHD ones opposite of the RHD springs... I understand that part.
the problem is that mine are not labled LH RH mine are labled A and B
the A is longer then the B so then do I just put the A on the drivers side ( fuel tank side)
nothing that they sent me had anythng saying anything about A or B just LH or RH
is this a new problem...or am I just the lucky one?

I am not worried because I know from past talks that the longer spring goes on the drivers side...just want to be 100% sure because the springs are not much differient in size.

Either you did not get much front lift or the rear springs have not settled yet. They will after you take them on a trail 1 time and work them out.

Do you know how much you got up front?

Yeah, I did not put the SAWs up enough I think, I did not want to go too high and then have the rears settle and then have to lower the fronts....so i guess i will crank up the fronts some after i flex her out a bit.
oh, about the rear bumper cone...I did not use it..I used the 10MM trim packers from OME..should I throw the ugly azz cones back in?

No, it will go up higher. What you might want to do is take the trim packer out as well. Until you get a heavy rear bumper or some other gear that adds weight to the rear.

I was thinking the same

so, when will you design a rear bumper with a spare wheel holder swing?

Never. I tried that for a year, the frame is not strong enough to support it and no matter how srong you build the carrier/bumper the tire vibrated like a dribbeling basket ball on the STREET. The hinge is also critical and opens you up to laws suits.

Here's my first bumper with the tire carrier.

The bumper worked great, the tire back there I did not care for.

In the future I do have every intention to make an elivated under the body 35" tire mount like I have. You will need a 1" BL and one of my bumpers to run the 35" tire underbody carrier.

That is so hard to believe ( I am not saying you are wrong..it just baffles my mind) that the frame is not strong enough....and all other SUVs have versions with the tire on the ass end... Toyota makes weak frames?
Damn, I just hate carring the tire inside.

No the frame is not weak it is designed to flex with the suspension.

Hence the guys with the sliders too close to the pinch weld, they get body bang from the frame and body moving.

Get your self a 1" and get on the bumper list for Sept and I can try to get you one of the 35" under the truck carriers too.

In the back sucks, On the back sucks worse, 2 things to open, but under the truck is nice and easy.

( yeah, I'm that guy DOOH!! )

I will be getting a 1" BL and larger tires here soon...as far as a rear bumper in the near future...I am tapped out.
so maybe if you are still offering them in a year or so. I do like your design.

I'll still be making them and alot of other bumpers I hope. 2nd Gen 4Runner, Nissan Xterra, etc.

It's made to match a TJM front bumper.
