they probably will give him a salvaged title, its been in a wreck. but then again it wasnt totalled, so i dunno. good luck man same thing happened to me in my old isuzu trooper, except i hit them. they were in an expedition, no insurance, no license period, and best of all about 6 kids in there with NO seatbelts. i only hit em about 25, but it totalled my poor trooper..
. good thing the uninsured motorist kicks in. a lesson for everyone: PAY for the uninsured motorist coverage!

It WILL NOT have a salvage title. Please do not spread mis-information.
The only way it would have a salvage title is if the insurance company totaled the vehicle.
A 2002 Limited books out at around 19K. In Alabama the total loss threshold is 75% of retail value
that means that it would have to have 14K worth of damage.

If they total it more than likely it will have a salvage title, but regardless it will now show up on carfax by police report and/or the insurance will report the payout. It doesn't look totaled to me though but agree what you can.

The check was issued yesterday!!!! I'm going to get the Runner back!!!!
It's a 2002 LTD with under 60K miles and I'm in CA so it's worth more then $11k. I just hope that they do a good job with it. It's at a well known shop in town with lots of experience. It should be OK.
It will not have a salvage title because it was not totaled. I can't wait to take it out and beat it up again!!! At least the brush scratches will be painted over now.
