WRANGLER speaker bar in 1st gen 4runner?

You guys have all seen those SPEAKERBARS in jeep wranglers. They go on the rolbar in the back. Well, is it possible to put one of those WRANGLER speakerbars on the rearroll bar of my 1ST GEN 4RUNNER? Pics would be great!

I haven't heard of anyone doing that, but I would just get some boat speakers and mount them up there if you really wanted speakers up top. Not real sure why you would though Sounds like it could be neat, but why not just keep them down inside the rig? They are better protected and all the wiring would be hidden. Just my .02

I was thinking about doing that a while back, the main problem is that the jeep speaker bar attaches to parallel horizontal tubes in the jeep so the profile in the rear view mirror is pretty slim. I never checked the spacing match between the side tubes in my 1st gen to match the jeep bar, because I realized the jeep speakers could only be installed with the parallel side bars in the first gen, which are almost vertical. This would flip the speaker bar 90' and block off almost all your rear view. It would also put a speaker directly behind the heads of your rear passeners. I decided to go with these...

there one that attatches to any 2" roll bar or something like that. just the tube running the width of the 4runner. it uses sony explode speakers, yes it would work.

That's an idea I've been throwing around. What size were those speakers, if you remember. I was trying to see if I could fit 6X9's in there.

These ones hook right to the top bar. They also spin down for when the top is on....
