What kind of vehicle do you have? That would be really important seeing as you are looking at parts first for something with a coil spring rear suspension and then something with leaf spring rear suspension. I have never heard of the Mr. Gasket stuff, and if your vehicle has rear leaf spring suspension, then you should be ok with the AALS

You are posting in the 3rd gen 4runner section, which they have coil springs in the rear. I would suggest getting some ome or some 99 springs for the rear.

It will work... my lift was all spacer at first... just about 7-8 mo ago I finally replaced the rear with OME springs from someone on here, SO MUCH BETTER =)

Right now I have the springs, AND a 1" rubber spacer from AutoZone in the rear... for 3.5ish" lift total. The kit you just listed doesnt sound too bad

Just go with OME. Spacers would work but it really depends on the shape of your current coils. If they are sagging then your just putting a band aid where you need stitches. Look into the 881 / 906 combo. I know there are a few threads about them on here. I recently installed it and i am very pleased.

they will work, 2wd and 4wd runners have the same suspension set up, just different struts and springs.

Coast your 4runner to the local stealership, Tell them that you want the coil spring re-call special!

*The rear springs are under re-call and you get a brand new set of rear springs for FREE!!!!

I took mine to the dealership and had the recall done.. it did not fix the sag. the only thing that fixed MY sag was the spacers.. I thought the recall was supposed to fix the sage too. but i was wrong..

Hey,
I guess you can say that i got a "lift" out of the install. I did noticed a firmer ride since i had them installed. I tow things Pop up trailer, jetski ,small bassboat Without the spacers it would sag and with the load it would even more.. I think it looks better, and i think it performs better with the spacers. I was not looking for a lift persay-But more for leveling purposes..
