I never had any problems with my all season on my AWD Eclipse and it saw 6 Colorado winters at almost 800ft before I retired it from winter driving and never had any problems. I ran Yok Geolandars on my '97 last year and they were fine. Snow tires are better but I've never had 'em on any car in the 20 years I've been driving all in Colorado.
