My new Sequoia came with 35% from Gulf States Toyota (distributor). The rear is still much darker...and it can legally be in most states on an SUV.

 

15% is what you want to get a match, not all shops carry that but 20% is pretty close, i have had my extra cab with 35% on the fronts with the factory back, i have had 15 up front to make it match and a tint strip on the windshield, then i tinted the whole windshield 50%, now i have 5% on the front windows, another layer 15% on the back windows and 35% on the windshield. man, so many contradicting opinions! they're all good, but i believe whitesr5 (zach) evidence is conclusive whereas many of us are just stating our subjective, non-numerical and non-tested opinion (ie visual).

i'm going by what zach said because if his is 20% and mine is 18% and looks a little darker, then something slightly lighter would be a perfect match.

now this is for a 98 3rd gen 4runner (96-98), so i dont know if it will differ from any other years, models, etc

now that it's been 3 days since i've had my windows done, i am half-half on keeping these 18% tinted windows. i dont like the fact that they are slightly darker than the other windows. again, its most noticeable on the inside. it looks like a near perfect match from the outside.

by the way, the film my tinter used was solarguard. who knows...maybe solargaurd's 18% is llumar's 15%? or 3M's 20%?
