Window switch and roof rack questions.
ok, i have the parts to the old roof rack i was making for my old runner, and im thinking about putting them back together so i have it again, but how should i go about attaching it to the roof? im not to keen on drilling holes, but if i have to then so be it.
also, if i were to rig the old rear window switch to a new switch for just up and down,(aftermarket toggle) would i hurt anything? cause mine is busted and i cant find one in a junkyard anywhere, unless a 2nd gen switch will work.
thanks
wade

Take the switch out and look at the back...I think it is a DPDT switch, with some additional wires to light it up w/ the dash lights, (6) wires maybe, so just get a simple DPDT and hook it up to the appropriate wires and you should be good to go. I would think a switch from any gen would work if you want the lighting too.
