That might be true to some extent. But, I've had my LC coils in the rear for ~40K miles and haven't had a single problem with the junk Ranchos I have. They've been on for a total of 50K miles now and going strong. Too bad they're not shot yet, because I'd really like to replace them with some OME N86 shocks.

Care to elaborate on that? Why would one area of travel of the shock be more prone to wear than any other?
