If you put an aftermarket exhuast on the 22r,such as the borla would it sound real ricey? I dont want the truck to sound like a honda civic Its ok if its deep, but i hate ricey cars

You get what you pay for. Some ricers are running cheapy crap mufflers that create the killer-bees-on-steroids sound you hear so often.

Borla is known to be higher quality. I would imagine that to sound just fine on a 22R.

I've got a Flowmaster Series 40 muffler on my 22RE. Sound great! Nice and throaty, but quiet when idle and cruising.

i have a flomaster 40 on my 22r engine.. and its loud all the time, but i also have a modified intake that does make things louder..... it doesnt sound ricey though... its a little more high pitched than say a v8, but its a lot deeper than a what the other peopel have mentioned as the killer bee on steroids.... i would personally recommend a magnaflow..... the one i used to have thats just sitting in the garage now sounded better than the flowmaster i have on my truck now
