Will OME 881's and one trim packer help?

I want my front end a bit higher. I currently have 2.5" Cornfeds up front and contemplating going with the OME 881's up front with a trim packer on each side. Do you guys think the OME 881's will be a bit higher?

I would suggest a set or two of Bamachem's spacers up front. They would be much cheeper and more effective then new springs and trim spacers that will only stiffen your ride. Andy's spacers won't give you the bouncy front end and you can install them w/o taking the front end apart again.

My ride is pretty stiff already with the spacers, hence the reason I want to get some coils.

How do you think one of Bamachem's spacers and the OME881 would be?

The answer is not tall enough I don't think. My guess is you'll need the tundra coils and his spacer to get anywhere near the 2.5" mark. For reference my OME881s with no spacer gave me about 1.25" over stock.

I've seen pics of the Tundra lift and I am not impressed with the amount of lift that it provides. I still need to clear my wheels.

Looks like my next option would be some coilovers. Kind of pricey though...

You can only go so high with coilovers as well, they might say 3.5 but when I had them, it was not easy to get anywhere closeto that. I think the Tundra lift could give you what you needed and if you added two sets of spacers that is about as much as your going to comfortaby get from the 4Runner front suspension w/o using some sort of sub frame lift. As for Andy's spacers on top of your OME I doubt it'll do much better than just going to the Tundra lift, OME's don't net that much in the first place.

Ditto......ask Bamachem or Schaeffer but I think the Tundra coils and 2 spacers is about as good as you'll get before you start having serious CV joint issues (assuming you are 4WD).

Neli

Can you measure the distance from the bottom lip of your wheels to the bottom of your flares for both the front and rear?

Your's does look more leveled than mine.

Did you get your tundra coils new or used?

Honestly, I think the rake that you have looks tits on your rig with the size tires and wheels. That is exactly how i want my rig to stand when it gets done.

Thanks god... With the 16x8 and 3 5/8" BS I am rubbing slightly again. The 16x10 4.5" BS didn't rub. I just ordered a pair of Bamachem's spacers.

I may end up trying out the Tundra coils if I can find some for a decent price.

The OME front set up is more expensive than the Tundra front(grandted that you don't use the Tokiko Blue shocks). It usually takes another spacer, a trim pack or two, or Andy's spacer to get the OME to the correct height, the Tundra has been researched enough to the point it's JUST ABOUT dummy proof.

Here's a good thread to clear up all the questions on Tundra coil specifics:

Unless you know a good born yard or know someone with the springs laying around, I would suggest just ordering a set new from Strapp22 on here and his site www.trdpartsforyou.com. They're something like $80 a spring, then at least you know your getting the right ones, I just hate looking around for and asking every online seller the correct color codes on the springs, the difference in price is worth my troubles. Good luck, and post up some pics when you get the issue resolved.
