Talking Wild Country XTR or .......

Since I have 60,000 miles on Mickey Thompson MTX's (31x11.50r15). Thought I would start looking around on the internet today and decide what my next set of tires will be. I'm really pleased with the Mickey Thompsons, but because they're not readily available the dealers around here are trying to charge me $170.00/ tire. I've narrowed it down to these three choices:

Wild Country XRT (32x11.50r15)
BFG AT KO (32x11.50r15)
Mickey Thompson MTX (32x11.50r15)

Now, I've been trying all day to find some material on the Wild Country XRT's but can't find any anywhere.

So thought I would come to you guys and see what your opinions are about these tires.

Will be used 60% on-road, 40% off-road. And when used off-road will be dealing with mostly mud and rocks.

Thanks.

Great tire, although I don't hardcore with mine.

I mainly run old logging roads, and some narrow dirt trails, and snow.

I think you mean TXRs though?

I have been running two sets.
My first set I got back in spring of '99, and I just took them off last week after having them on since October of '02, they are now my winter only set.

I have another set I got a few summers back that just went on, and I run them from March through October.

The old set still has a lot of miles left on them.
TXRs wear forever.

Their site says they are a quiet tire, no, they are not.
These have a nice sounding hum to them after you get to 20 MPH, and at 55 on the freeway they drown out my Magnaflow muffler.
But I like the loud sound from them.

They are great, and I never hydroplane or skid out in the rain with them.

My next set of tires will be either these or the Good Year MT/Rs.
But these are a nice tire.

les schwebs tire centers sells those xtr's and they are pretty popular up here in the northwest .

wild country , wild cat , and those sold by les , aresome good tires , and have a great warrenty program.

the difference in all of their type of tires has to do with how many plys , the tread pattern and such .
