White vehicles

I am not a fan of white vehicles, but my wife has a white Olds Cutlass. I was washing it today and I noticed that there was an awful lot mildew around the trunk and all of the molding. I have never seen this on my burgundy 4Runner or red Nissan. Is this common on white vehicles or just GM white vehicles?

Here here for the white.
On my 3rd white Toy, and no problems.

Next Toy will be white too.
I love the color, easy to take care of, and shines like hell when it's waxed and cleaned.

Paul, I have never heard of that before.
It might be the angle at which her trunk sits in relation to yours

White is the easiest of all colors to keep clean. They don't show the dirt nearly as much as say a black one.

Black is nice looking, however, there are not enough hours in the day for me to keep a black runner clean in AZ

yeah, keeping my truck clean is kind of a @#$@! but if you think about it, a white car gets the same amount of stuff on it, it just doesn't show up. and personally i dont mind if someone can see the mud on my truck. dust looks bad though... but around here we don't ahve much of that... unless you drive on a long dirt road in the summer when it hasn't rained.

just giving you guys a hard time anyways

I used to have a white Ford Escort . I had a lot of black oxidation deep in the paint that I had to take a bottle of simple green to the paint to take it off. Soap and water would not work. No problems with my 96 4R which was white.

Darren, I was just wondering if mildew is a typical white paint problem. I have never had a white vehicle. The wifes car is the first. All of my other vehicles I have had(cars) never had this problem. Does anyone know how to keep mildew from forming on a car?
