Question whistling from my deckplate?

I was driving my truck last night when it was about 40 degrees and I heard a fairly loud whistle coming from my truck. The noise was much more apparent before the truck had fully warmed up and during acceleration. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this whistle because I don't think I have heard it before. I'm guessing it was coming from the deckplate, but it hasn't made the noise in the year since I installed it. so I wasn't sure....any ideas?

mine never has that problem, I'm thinking it's the engine noise is prolly amplified through deckplace. Maybe santa gave you a turbo for early chirstmas present?

Your sig doesn't show it, but did you do the ISR mod as well? The ISR tends to whistle at times. A 4" deckplate shouldn't whistle, but it "could" given the right conditions.

Any chance that you've been under the hood and forgot to replace a vacuum hose?

I get the whistle. It just the induction of air getting sucked in nothing to worry about. I like it.

I get the whistle only at a certain throttle input and RPM. I try to time it right as I go by a ricer with his windows down.

yeah, screw blow-off valves, i got a whistling intake! Unless they came off on their own, I haven't taken any hoses off. I was driving around today and didn't notice it much. Didn't think it was a problem, just checkin

I also get the humming sound. Try putting your car in park with it on. And stick your ear by the passenger side headlight you should hear that humming sound

Be thankful yours whistles because whistle tips are illegal now.
You could enlarge the deckplate size and see if that helps (ie go to a 5 in instead)
