WHERE'S THE LOVE IN THIS ROOM? :-) Quick Evaporator question!!

Just a really quick question... come on, group...help a guy out here and don't just ignore the post please.

I need to remove the evaporator on a 93 truck, 4x4, 22re. I've got the glovebox off. I've got the freon lines disconnected at the firewall. Just need to know what to unscrew on the big black plastic heater/ A/C assembly behind the glovebox.

Help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks guys.

P.S. I've torn into every other part of the truck before and have nearly every tool known to man, so you don't have to keep it basic :-)

Yeah. Not in my Chilton's or my Haynes. I know it's not hard to do...I just want to avoid removing things that don't need to be removed.

Thanks anyways.

I was going to respond to your earlier post , but I own an 86 and I wasn't sure if it's the same setup. Well if it is, here goes.

You allready disconected the two lines on the firewall right?
If you did then there's about 4-6 10mm bolts behind the glovebox that holds the entire assy, that has to be removed, A couple of plugs to disconnect, the drain tube also, then the whole assy. should pull out.

Once out, you have to undo the clips and screws to get to the evaporter and the expansion valve.

I installed all this on my 86 that had no AC so I know that's whats involved. I"m sure yours should be very simialer.
