where's the best place to get Swampers?

I am possibly looking into getting Super Swampers for the rig after I get my lift installed (this wed!!!!!) I don't want my 265's to be too small!

Anyone got a good place to go to get CHEAP swampers?

What lift are you going with 2.5's? I'm trying to decide what tire size to go to once my lift is in as well, thinking 265-75-16's most likely, 285's might be pushing it.

c'mon david, I'm at stock height and i'm running 265/75's with no rubbing on a full turn. You gotta go with 285's!!

There goes the gas mileage out the window

Check your news paper's website (easier and free to search classifieds). They pop up every now in then in mine. Saw some a couple of weeks ago $60 a tire with 20k on them.

JP, how long did the RB lift take?

I can only find cheap swampers that are really wide. the 285/75/16's are about 33" tall, and about 11.5" wide.

The swampers are all 33" 12.5! that RB lift might be my ticket to swampers!

do it when you put on your bumper and it will be like 2-3 hours. You have to take your bumper off to do the lift.

Highlift, 2x4, and a couple of sockets. Just gotta losen the 10 body mounts and steering, jack up a side...install poly blocks. Lower side. Jack up other, install polly blocks. Lower side. Install steering extension. Tighten. Its damn easy...

Sice you dont need the missing body mounts like me. I think its like $150. Time? Well, my ass is gonna get some sleep this time...so you are on your own to do i thte day before. But seriously, its damn easy. Took me 6 hours to do it outside, in a thunderstorm, and in the dark with a couple of flashlights. Take out the night/raind factor and it will take 3-4 hours depending upon how hard it is to get the bolts loose (i didnt grease mine up).

Depending on who you talk to, the 285's will give you some rubbing. Keisur noted that once he installed the panhard bracket he wasn't getting any rubbing in the back anymore. I know some people pound the pinch weld in the front fender to avoid rubbing in the front with 285's. I'm just worried about regearing issues, and also whether to get a second wider set of rims to hold the 285's.

As for sources for swampers, try discount tires, or even 4wheelparts:
