Where to buy head gasket?

Well I have a blown head gasket and I called up Toyota and they wanted $400 for the head gasket kit!!! Anyone have any suggestions for good quality cheap head gasket kits... Also does anyone have any good suggestions for good head bolts as well? Anything parts or materials wise that I am going to need please let me know ahead of time so I can get this done in a day or so. I'm 16 but I am pretty good with cars, I have access to all the tools I will need and I have a manual so I think I am ready but if anyone has any pictures, tips, or walk through's please let me know! Also this is on a 5VZ-FE engine.

Thanks in advance, Jordan

Bite the bullet and get the Toyota parts. Quality costs money.

you'd be fine use Fel-Pro from an autoparts store.

and take the head(s) in to be plained and pressure tested (going to add to your costs) but its worth it.

not sure on the head bolts but i wouldnt buy those from Toyota, your just going to get raped on costs of them, search and ask around see where you can locate them cheaper. Everything from the dealer is triple quadruple if not more marked up.

Thanks for the tips guys, I am going to get both heads milled. BTW I just got off the phone with NAPA and they wanted $500 for a Fel-Pro Gasket kit! I'll save $50 and go with stock.

Check with TRDparts4U.com - they'll usually have the OEM stuff way cheaper than your local dealer.

Well I found a Fel-Pro head gasket kit for $399 and a Victor head gasket kit for $380 so the Fel-Pro guy said he would price match the Victor head gasket so it looks like I will have a Fel-Pro for $380. Does that sound like a good deal to you guys? I found the complete set of head bolts for $50, but that was the cheapest I could find.

I personally am not a huge fan of Fel-Pro especially for a head gasket. Around my parts they are called "Fel Blow" I would go OEM IMHO.
