What would you guys do...?
2003 4Runner are around the corner.
But the dealers have great incentives (3000$ CAD) on remaining 2002 4Runners despite the fact that their almost out of these trucks (15 in the province of Quebec.......)
It is also the best time to sell my 99 4Runner SR5 v6. I have interesting offers on the table now.
What if the 2003 turns to be real ˟˟˟˟˟/bad looking and the dealers are out of 2003. I'll be screwed. I'll have to go for a Honda Pilot ;0)
Opinions ???
(Keeping my 99 is not an option)

Dude, when I was at the dealer it was toss up between a black sports edition and the Tundra you see now. the only reason I went with a Tundra is, more power, more engine bay room so I can do my own maintence, price (4Runner was 2K more), and it seems logical I need the extra space in the bed for putting crap in there.
But I would have loved to have that sports edition, it was really sweet. Keep the Runner and s/c it! That's what I say. The current ones look very good in my opinion.

IMO, if you are planning on doing any offroading or capability modifications, go with the 02. The 03's are as dlotoy said. The only advantage I see it a V8, but you could supercharge the current V6 and get great power. I would get the 02.

!!! And black is excellent looking (just not excellent to maintain, as I have learned keep a dark colored car clean is not easy, plus scratch show up more on a dark colored car).here's another shot off toyota's website.

I say go for the 2002 as well. When it's time for me to replace my 1997 4Runner I definitely won't be buying the 2003 4Runner if they still look the way we have seen in the pics. I'll look for a used 4Runner no newer than 2002 or buy an Xterra if that is the case.

Thanks all for your answers
Since I'm not into mods I think I'll wait to see a 2003 in person before making a final decision.
I went to see the 2002 SR5 V6 and I would be like buying the same vehicule again, no thrills, nothing new.
I think I would have taken a 2002 if I could have afforded the Limited version. At least I could have enjoyed a few goodies.
We'll see in mid-september when the 2003 will make their way to the showroom.
Thanks
