What is this plug??
So... i have seen this on mine as well as others 4runners but remain unable to figure it out. What is this black plug? The light tan one is for the dash dimmer control.

My factory installed alarm plug is in that area, maybe that?

It only has two actual connections inside of it, so I wouldn't thing so.

Beside the dimmer Toyota usually puts Rear Locker or Central Lock. It may use 2 prongs just to close the circuit...

Center Diff Lock for later models, Rear Diff Lock for earlier models.

Here is the center diff lock button. Rear diff lock went in the same place I think on earlier models.

its the facrtory wiring for the rear e-locker even though you dont have one Toyota still put it in there i have the same thing in mine even though i have the transfer case locker
