This maybe a stupid question, but does it really matter if you use premium or regular in the new 4.0L v6 engine?

 

nope but since gas is sooo expensive i'd just use the cheap stuff

 

that is what i was thinking, but i still wasn't sure if it made any difference.

If you use real cheap gas though I would reccomend a little bit of injector cleaner/gas treatment every once in a while - I do that on my truck (I use prestone octane booster/cleaner) and it actually made somewhat of a difference it seems.

 

i actually heard that that, that stuff has a bleaching agent in it that can harm the engine. true or untrue

 

the 4.0 only requires regular so don't worry about any of that $$ stuff.
